Queer Healers and Deep Allies:
A Weekend Retreat
Dates coming soon!
You’ve been stressed and overwhelmed.
Queer healers like you and I are often the people others rely on. We absorb their stories, their grief, and their fear.
We show up for our clients, partners, friends, and communities even when our own nervous systems are stretched thin.
We hold space for others in a time of rising harm against queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and other marginalized communities.
It’s no wonder our bodies are asking us for rest.
Let’s unplug together!
That’s why I’m holding space in a quiet retreat setting.
So we can unplug and reconnect: with ourselves, with each other, with our nervous systems, and with community.
This will be a small group experience, intentionally held for queer healers and deep allies; with warm facilitation, meaningful connection, and time to reflect together and alone.
In this retreat space, your needs are my highest priority. You can soften. You can be seen. You’re invited to reconnect with the parts of yourself you’ve had to push to the side in order to keep functioning.
Healing circles offer gentle structure for reflection, grounding, and nervous-system repair. Shared meals and slow mornings help us exhale. Connection with other queer healers reminds us that we’re not alone in this work. We never have been.
This is your safe space to rest, recalibrate, and return to yourself.
“Going into the retreat weekend I was carrying the weight of the world, feeling out of balance from caring for others in both my personal and professional life.
I found a safe space to just “be,” honoring my journey & feeling supported by all in attendance.
I received the gift of connecting with myself, others & nature in a way that was balancing & healing for me.
— Christine (she/her)
You are welcome here.
There are many ways to be a queer healer. Maybe you’re a therapist like me. Maybe you have another title:
Social worker
Massage therapist
Yoga instructor
Etc.
…or maybe you don’t. To join this retreat, you just have to be a helper at heart, giving your energy to others through care, volunteering, or offering your presence.
You count.
I invite you to reconnect with yourself, your nervous system, and your community.
I created these weekend retreats as small-group experiences specifically for queer healers and deep allies (affirming healers embedded in the queer community who support this event as a sacred space for queer folx).
During the retreat, you will:
Stay in a private cabin
Eat nourishing meals
Enjoy time to exhale, recharge, and get centered.
You will be safe as we come together for a time of rest and reconnection.
I’m Christa, your retreat leader.
(she/they)
I love retreats. I was the kind of kid who invited all of my friends to camp because even at a young age, I saw the value in getting away from “real life,” and connecting with others in a designated space.
Of course I grew up to host retreats!
But this isn’t my full-time job. I’m a queer therapist in private practice, and I truly love what I do. Retreats aren’t part of my therapy offerings, it’s just something I’m excited to create and hold as a fellow queer human.
Being a queer healer myself, I want to prioritize a safe place just for us and our deep allies.

One-on-one sessions are available throughout the weekend for an additional fee. They can include Reiki, spiritual direction, or massage.
About the Location
I will hold the retreat at Osage Forest of Peace in Sand Spring, OK, just outside of Tulsa. There, bathrooms are not marked with binary gender signs. You’ll stay in your own cabin with electricity, a window AC unit, heater, and private bathroom. Feel free to request to stay with a friend or colleague if that’s your preference.
Cost
I offer retreats on a sliding scale to honor the class inequality and economic disparity within the queer community. You’re invited to reflect on your current financial situation and your current capacity to give and receive support and choose the rate that feels right for you. I will honor your choice without question. If you’re not sure which rate fits, feel free to reach out to me with questions. I’m here to help you discern.
Sliding Scale Options
$475 — Supported Rate
For those with limited financial access. This rate is made possible by community support from others who pay above the standard. It helps cover the true cost while making space for more healers to attend.
$850— Standard Rate
Reflects the full cost of running the retreat, including meals, lodging, planning time, facilitation, and care. Choosing this rate sustains the work and supports future offerings.
$1,200+ — Community Sustainer
For those with financial abundance or institutional support. Your contribution helps offset lower-income attendees and strengthens the long-term sustainability of this retreat.
